driver help needed please

hey guys hope someone here can help me out i have a web cam that i got off a friend of mine but it has no install cd and windows update can't install the drivers needed for it keeps saing failed but i don't no why and i have looked all over the net and can't find anything but i did have this working on my last install of win 7 after i tryed installing driver it just started working on it's own but this time it's not so i ask here if any of you can help me out the webcam i have i don't no much about it apart from in dvice manager it says CIF SINGLE CHIP and this lot so if anyone can help me out i would more then grateful

Solution!

I found a fix for this. After searching for the old drivers for my webcam and finding that there were no windows 7 editions of those drivers i finally found a way to update the driver via windows update. When you go and update your driver, choose search the web via windows update and it should be able to find the right driver for you.

Some symptoms that I had while my driver wasn't installed was the device being titled as "CIF Single Chip" and drivers were known.
