Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal

Hi

I've run the BSOD Dump & System file collection app and the zip is attached. However typing perfmon/report does not generate a report that I can then save so I'm a bit stumped by that instruction. I also don't seem to have any .dmp files on my pc so I'm not sure whether Windows is recording state information when my system crashes. Also, I am unable to get windows to start beyond the splash screen and I'm forced to use safemode. Before I found the post on BSOD posting rules I found a thread discussing Daemon Tools and I uninstalled it without any noticeable effect on the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? :shock:

If it's any help Event Log keeps seeing sptd 'Driver detected an internal error in its data structures for ' each time it fails to start

By uninstalling my NVidia drivers and using Driver Sweeper I can get Windows to boot without having to use Safe Mode but now as soon as I reinstall NVidia display drivers (either the lates version 280.26 or the previous 275.333) the problem re-occurs. Anyone come across this before?

I stopped the sptd service and the error is no longer showing in event log but I am still unable to load any NVidia drivers without then being unable to get windows to boot beyond the splash screen. Please help as I'm going slowly mental here :cry:

I uninstalled all my NVidia drivers and was trying to install ASUS Update to get my BIOS version updated when I got another BSOD but the first since I had enabled minidump - the remainder of the time I can boot windows and so no dump is generated. On the other hand this BSOD was not the IRQL Not Less or Equal message. Dump attached.

it could be something to do with %ProgramFiles%\asus\winflash\bs_def.sys file. please check wheather you have one of this folder. (suspect an issue with the BIOS flash due to the driver cited -BS_DEF.sys). it is what debugging says
"Probably caused by : BS_DEF.sys ( BS_DEF+2298 )"

I appreciate the feedback but I think that dump file is a bit of a red herring tbh. My problem is centred around NVidia drivers and the fact that whenever I try and install them Windows will not boot. And since it will not boot I don't get any dump files related to the failure.

Edit: To answer your question, that folder doesn't exist

I have now also tried 275.27 with the same failure to load windows beyond the splash screen

I have a sneaking suspicion that one of my 8800GTX cards may be on the blink given the problem reoccurs with different driver versions so I'll try swapping them out one at a time.
