i get pop up from driver whiz saying certain things are out of date which im thinking might be true or it a scam ?

or whats best way to see whats out of date on my laptop ????

I don't recommend using any of those Driver programs. My way of doing drivers is simple. If you are not having problems leave the drivers alone. New drivers don't necessarily mean better working drivers.
