Hi implague and welcome to the forum!
Windows 7 and Vista tries to find the latest drivers suited for your current hardware setup. Having the latest drivers for your hardware installed is given high priority when choosing drivers.
Since, Windows 7 just installs the basic driver for your video card, going to your manufacturer's website and downloading the latest driver package from there will ensure you get the complete ones similar to your install CD.
Just as NosferatuX stated, the drivers that Windows searches for are the current ones at Windows Update.
Usually by the time you get your graphics card and driver CD, those drivers are already old and need updating. WinUpdate probably has a more current driver for your card so let those install instead of using the CD.
Also, make sure to stay current by using the Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers page to check for newer drivers.
