DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE occurs randomly.

Hello the people of sevenforums, recently I've started getting the "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" BSOD when powering my computer off, usually before that happens my usb internet modem stops working and I have to connect to it by Wlan it still gets power from my usb-ports tho, this doesn't happen every time I shut my computer time, maybe not even once a day but can occur up to 4 times a day. This started happening when I got my Palit Geforce GTX 970.

Its definitely a USB-related crash, probably to do with your USB-attached modem. The first thing to do is determine if there are more up-to-date drivers/firmware for that modem, and install them.

Atleast when I go to http://192.168.100.1 and check for firmware updates there it says there are non available, I'll check if I can find newer firmware on Huawei's website.

There you go, this time when I ran the DM log collector I didn't have the USB modem connected as I've connected to it through WiFi to prevent crashes, hope this still helps.

There aren't any .dmp files present. Are you using any cleaning software such as CCleaner?

Please do the following:

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Driver Verifier will cause your computer to run very sluggishly - this is normal. What it is trying to do is force your system to BSOD and isolate the offending driver/s. When it does, reboot, disable driver verifier, reboot as normal and upload the new dmp file/s here.

I recommend creating a system restore point before turning on driver verifier:

If your system fails to boot to desktop once driver verifier is enabled, turn it off by booting into Safe Mode:

Sorry for the late reply, didn't get an E-mail for some reason, I will do that when I find time for it, since I have to have access to my computer 8 hours a day, but so far after setting windows update to update drivers and running it once I haven't had any BSODs.

Got new CPU, BSOD while playing BF4, error 0x1000007E

Hey, I today got my new CPU, played games like Minecraft and LoL without any problems, I booted up BF4, obviously everything in ultra, about 20 seconds, I got a bluescreen. I attached the minidump and the DMLogCollector files. The crashed driver was ntkrnlmp.exe I think.
The old CPU: FX-6200
The new CPU: FX-8370
