Drivers Dated 2006?

It is confusing. Windows Update is offering a 2008 driver to update the 2006 driver Windows 7 RTM installed for my HP C6180 printer. The RTM driver works fine in my limited testing, so I ain't going for the "new" one.

Without looking too far into it, it could just be drivers that were originally made for Vista, and the Driver Date shows the originally made date rather than the last modified date. Or the date might be the driver signing date and Microsoft have used the same digital signature for it as a previous one.

Yes, I am also seeing dates from 2006. I believe I'm using the WZOR leak, but since they are both the same (the WZOR leak and the TechNet download), it seems to be normal.

yes these are base vista drivers timestamped for that build (which you see is 7600)...

wished it worked in 7, SUSE for that matter though
