Drivers different from Beta?

I ran Windows 7 Beta on my HP Pavilion laptop tx-1000, with it's internal NVIDIA nForce wireless adapter supporting b/g and n. It worked fine, then yesterday I loaded RC1.

Although the wireless connect SEES all the wireless networks, it can't connect to any (of mine, two total).

I've removed all the security from them, and connected to them with a desktop with a PCI wireless adapter, so they're good.

Did the driver set change from Beta?

Is there a comprehensive diagnostic process to determine WHY Windows 7 can't connect?

There is some difference. I have a USB wireless adapter that was fine in Beta but, like yours, will not make a connection in RC.

Have you achieved a wireless connection with RC1 using ANY adapter?

I'm wondering if this is an artifact of security-gone-wrong. Achieving a low-level wireless connection but not an IP is pretty common, and not very well reported by any windows version, but particularly obfuscated by Vista and 7 apparently.

I was hoping someone knew of a utility that would report the full story of what was going on during the negotiation process, to help me diagnose the problem.

I am presently connected with a linksys wireless N and I have connected with a Marvell gigabyte ethernet. It is only the USB wireless that wont connect at all though it will connect flawlessly through Vista.
All of my connections in Windows 7 RC are prone to dropping out suddenly, requiring a system restart to regain the connection.

The cause appears to be driver oriented.
