first of all relax

I doubt AVG would mess up your connection. . Assuming you are using Windows 7. Try these:
- Goto control panel, then open network and connection sharing, on the left panel click on change adapter settings. Then right click on your local area connection and disable it. Then re-enable it. Do the same with the wireless connection.

- If that doesn't get you online, then right click on My Computer, click Properties, on the left panel, click on open device manager. In device manager, find "network adapters", you will probably have two listed. Right click on each one and click uninstall. Then restart your computer.

Hope that helps

See if you can goto Acer's website and obtain the necessary drivers for your network cards. That said, the problem isn't such that you have "screwed" yourself. It is just your drivers are corrupted - that can happen especially if your hard drive is getting old. So I suggested re-downloading the drivers from Acer's website and installing them. Alternatively, you can google the drivers for the device mentioned.

avg is the problem here! even if you have uninstalled it... im not a wiz but this has happened to me heaps and i cant uninstall avg no matter what i do... but its to do with avg still selected on your wireless drivers or something after you have uninstalled it. once you unselect it your internet connection will be fixed instantly so just look for the information that tells you how to do this... that's all i can tell you sorry but trust me this is the problem nothing else

ps this is in wireless network adapter properties
