Ok I've already read the section about this here on these forums, i tried to run the install DVD with AHCI enabled, disabled, and even one time trying to boot in non driver signature mode.

Nothign seems to work, every time it hangs and gives me the same error about not beign able to find drivers for the DVD/CD player.

Also I do not have a 4 GB or larger flash drive that I can boot from .

Hello,

Have you tried running Setup.exe from within Windows? Just insert the disc, and it should give you the choice. If not, Open the disc in My Computer, and run setup.exe.

Good luck!

I thought because this is Win XP you can't install from within the windows system you have to do it at boot?

Do you have a Vista DVD?

Try booting from it, then when you get to Custom drives screen where you choose where to install Win7, change out the DVD to Win7.

Try removing all but 2gb RAM. Test RAM first using Windows Diagnostic Memory Test.

If not, where did you get Win7? If downloaded, hashcheck the ISO to confirm its integrity, then verify the ISO against DVD using ImgBurn.

Try resetting the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS
