Drivers Update Tool

is there a tool that can be used to update all your drivers? like i mean something that will scan them and tell you if they need to be updated?

ive tried device manager all the time, and it never finds any updates. i think in the 3 computer that ive owned, only 1 got an update from device manager.

with my current, fresh install, and device manager dident recognize that i had updates for the video driver, Ethernet, etc.

Hi quadrider10, It's always advisable to get the updates from the Manufacturer of the device you wish to update, The use of so called driver finders usually lead to you having to pay for drivers that you already have or do not need !!! Many different driver tools out there. I've used a few over the years and have found that its usually safer, easier, and quicker to just go get them myself. I set aside a day every week or so to look for driver updates/program updates etc. Sometimes tedious, but no more screw ups either!

well i mean like a tool that scans ur system, and tells you that theres an update. so i can go to the hardwares website and download it. and dell never keeps up with new versions of hardware. thats where i got my video driver downloads, and they were ALL out of date.

Theres any number of free driver scanners available. Haven't used them in a while now so can offer no recommendations.

That's exactly what the driver update tools do -- then they tell you that most of your drivers are out of date, and for a FEE, they will update them.

These are mostly scams, and as folks have said, it's better to go to the manufacturer.

If there are no newer drivers there, there a likely just no newer drivers.
