Drivers

Hello Eveyone,


I have re-installed windows xp on me netbook advent 4489. What has happen is
it didn't download in device manager a few drivers - wireless, video controller, video controller (VGA Compatible). As many companies they have Manufacture sites to download the free drivers. But Advent do not provide no drivers on there website.
Can anyone help me please and give me a site where you can download drivers for me netbook as i want to fix this ASAP. I have download a wireless driver already but it isn't the right one.


Please provide me links and advice.

You should always have the drivers ready ahead of time, before installing an OS. You'll probably have to go to each manufacturer's website and get the driver. You should have a list of specs from the netbook, telling you exactly who made the wireless chip, etc.

Get out your parts list, and it should be easy from there on.

UKT Support - Advent 4489 Netbook

and a few others that say it is a rebranded MSI Wind U90, which if that is the case then the XP drivers from here,

MSI Europe - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

should work.

i appreciate the help guys, but unfortunately none of the websites didn't fix my problem, as they wasn't free softwares to download drivers.


However i did try the MSI software

MSI Europe - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

i download all three wireless drivers as one of them were the drivers missing, It kept saying on all three drivers when you try and connect to the network, it says switch wireless on and there is no wirless switch on the advent 4489 netbook. Also it keeps saying to refresh the connection page. i just three drivers:


- network controller
- video controller
- video controller (VGA compatible)


If anyone can find these drivers on free websites. please let me know. After i download these drivers. My machine is complete. If anyone can help please.

These should be the three you need,

Mobile Intel® GMA 950/X3100 - graphics/video driver
Realtek LAN - for the integrated ethernet
msi Wireless Lan_6890/6891 - the wireless driver

i have downloaded all of them and installed them

Now i have no yellow question marks under my device manager!!!!!!
