Drives cannot be renamed

Hi there,
I am trying to change my Drives names, either with the option one in this thread:

....and going to properties in disk management..

It does not work,..

What would be happening?

hello ,so what error message do you get if you go to windows explorer and right click on the drive name and choose rename and type in the new name

Tutorial shows two methods to rename driver, which one are you using? Right click rename or autorun.inf?

no message, it just will no change..

I am using method 1

Post a shot of disk management and list the disk # drives you`d like to change.

I just right-click a drive and choose either Rename or Properties and type a new name. As I try to recall the DOS days of the '80s and '90s one is limited to either 11 or 13 characters and some characters are prohibited.
Error Message: Filename is Invalid or Cannot Contain Any of the Following Characters
