I am trying to turn off (Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop) I uncheck it hit Apply then yes & it's off until I restart or Log off & back in then it's checked again is there away to fix this.

GPU: Nvidia Geforce 650 TI.
PSU: Corsair TX750.
DRIVES: (1) Samsung 840 120 GB SSD (2) Western Digital blue 500 GB 7200 RPM.
Just a guess, but its easy to do. In an administrator account, in the search area type cmd
In cmd type sfc /scannow and let us know what happens.
