I hooked a hdd to my laprop to make a backup. Everything worked fine, but when I checked the reliability report it said "DrvInst.exe doesn't respond" ( My Windows version is in Dutch, so I have to translate. It may say something different in English) The reliability index dropped from 9 to 6. Like I said, everything seems to be working, including the hdd, but I would like this error fixed.

no i dont think you should remove it , read this drvinst.exe it is a genuine microsoft file that "could" get infected your problem was most likely a one off glitch
