I am dual booting Win7 Ultimate x64 from a SSD and WinXP Pro x64 from a HDD. After POST, i get to a boot selection screen showing the XP 2003 Server edition (XP x64) and Win7. I could enter Win7 but the default is the setup so if I don't do anything the screen times out after 30 seconds, loads the setup, and BSOD. So whatever. I just use arrow up, select Win7 and I'm fine. BUT, I changed the timeout from 30 to 0 seconds in boot options and now I can't figure out how to get back into Win7. To enter XP, I have to press f11 and select the disk from boot options or else it enters setup and BSOD. I need help on getting settings changed so my PC will automatically boot into Win7 and booting into XP is done as it currently is.

Thanks

Just wanted to play battlefield on my day off, shouldn't have messed with anything haha. No entries listed under 'edit boot menu' and attempting to add an XP entry results in failure to detect valid install of NT-2003 error on any mounted drives. Just noticed that my SSD which contains Win7 is not listed in XP so I can't add an entry for that. Any suggestions? Appreciate the help and I'm going to try a few other things to resolve my issues.

Please post back a screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image.

Was your Dual Boot created by installing Win7 to its HD with the XP HD still plugged in?

Why is there a Setup entry on the menu? Was this from another failed install?

Confirm again that both OS's do boot and work correctly after navigating the problem boot menu.

Most likely you'll need to configure it as it should have been in the first place if you had correctly unplugged all other hD's when installing or repairing an OS. Then if booting via the BIOS isn't to your liking you can add XP from Win7 with Easy. But we need to see how it's configured now.
