I had my system set up to dual boot to either W7 or W8 and was given the option at boot up to select either one. Due to a crash of the W7 partition I ended up formating that particular partition and doing a cmplete re-install of W7. Now I do not get the option to select at boot up. The PC just goes straight to W7. Anyone know how to get my dual option back.

If you know you didn't install over Win8, then I'd run Windows 8 Automatic Repair to see if it will add Win7, or just starts Win8.

Then if it starts Win8, install EasyBCD to add Win7.

You can also add 8 from 7 using EasyBCD but you'll not get the Metro GUI Dual Boot menu, if that matters.

Have attached a snip file of my disk management. My primary HD is 320gb (Disk 2) with two partitions C: and D: I was sure W7 was installed on C: and W8 on D:

As all HDD are marked ACTIVE for a OS, how any OS's are installed.

I don't see a Windows 8 on there.

Only OS partitions should be marked Active. Start by marking all others Inactive now: Partition - Mark as Inactive - Windows 7 Forums

If you have Win8 on one of the other HD's which we can't determine because you didn't tell us and it is not labeled, I'd boot into the Win8 disk to run Windows 8 Automatic Repair which will at least start Win8 and may add Win7 to a Dual Boot menu using the Metro-style Win8 Dual Boot menu. If not you can install EasyBCD to add Win7 from the Win8 OS.

Or you can mark Inactive all non-OS HD's, unplug all but the Win8 HD, run Auto Repair on Win8 to start it, then after Win8 starts plug back in the other HD's to boot your choice of OS's via the BIOS Boot Menu key at boot.
