Dual Boot Problem

Hello Everyone

I have XP SP3 installed & Windows 7 Here is the problem
My Computer will only boot into Windows 7 or XP (ill explain)

When I use the Boot Manager bundled with Paragon
Hard Disk Manager 2010 the boot screen comes up
There is always an XP choice C drive and a Win7 choice
D drive each on their respective drives
No matter which one I choose it still boots up into Win7 or XP

If I reboot from the XP CD/DVD it will only boot into XP every time
If I reboot from the Win7 CD/DVD it will only boot into Win7 every time

Windows 7 is shown as the Logical D drive always at boot and XP as the Primary
C Drive always at boot

If paragon Boot manager is off it will always boot into whatever OS I reset the boot
System with Win7 or XP If Paragon boot manager is on there will be a choice but it will
Only boot into whatever OS I last used to set the boot to

What is the best way to fix this

I believe that the easiest way to fix this problem would be to put a version of the Windows Boot loader back onto your PC.

I think this can be done using EasyBCD.

There should be an option in EasyBCD asking you which Bootloader you would like to use (Windows Vista or Windows NT Classic Bootlader), just pick one and it should reinstall the Windows Bootloader.

Check all the settings are in order in EasyBCD (all the OSes are labeled properly etc.).

I'm sorry this guide is a bit vague but it should get the job done.

If you have separate HD's it is cleaner to boot the OS HD's via the BIOS boot order or one-time BIOS Boot menu key given on first boot screen or in Manual. This keeps the HD's independent to come and go as you please.

Remove the Paragon manager.
