Dual boot problem

Alright, so here's my problem
I tried to dual boot Windows 7 (which was already preinstaled on the laptop and yes I got the instalation disc) and XP. When I made space for XP and instaled it, it always started in XP and for 7 it said "Bootmgr not found Ctrl Alt Delete to restart computer".
This was ok and when Itried to instal .NET Framework 2.0, something went wrong and I got an error, so I couldn't instal EasyBCD.
I deleted XP and tried to fix this by doing Repair Windows, through Win 7 DVD. It said I have Vista instaled, but still was doing something. Now Windows 7 starts normaly, but it says that my copy of Windows is not genuie. And it is original since it was already preinstaled with the computer.
Would anyone know whats the problem and how to fix it? I don't know where else to put this so i'll ask it here. PS: I didn't do this on my laptop, but on a friends and we used his XP, so if its possible, that there was a problem in XP.

Yeah. That wasn't the problem. The problem appeared, when I got an error while instaling .NET and EasyBCD.

So now I'm need to know how to make Win 7 genuie again, since something says to it that its not and I don't know why.

Hi Verigil

I myself have xp vista and 7 and it caused some headaches, normally you have to install windows oldest to newest otherwise the older ones corrupt/knock out the other bootloaders.

I already had vista on my machine, so created a 2nd partition and installed it, this then knocked out my Vista so had to repair vista with the cd and they both work fine.

Then I was greedy with XP, which knocked everything out disabling my system! Arrrr

But i just repaired my vista or in your case 7 bootloader and both should work fine.

As for you genuine bit, just type in your product key which should be underneath your laptop.

I hope this helps in some way

James
