I just bought a new laptop and want to dual boot it with XP and 7. The only reason I'm using XP is so I can use this system as my work PC; our lame IT department won't let us run anything but XP. Is it possible for me to have the following setup:

500GB Hard Drive; 420GB for 7 Professional 64bit, 80GB for XP Pro 32 bit.

When booting into 7, the 420GB partition is C, and using computer manager I have no drive letter assigned to the 80GB partition.

When booting into XP, the 80GB partition is C, and I have no drive letter assigned to the 420GB partition.

If this scenario is possible, in what order would I install the OS'es?

Thanks!

No. It needs to be assigned it's own drive letter and paths.

So basically just format and partiton the drive. One at 420 c:\ the say 80gb h:\ and install one on each.

etc....
