Dual boot question

I have successfully formatted my second HD into 3 partitions: win7 x86, Win7 64 bit, and XP. The startup menu works fine but the two Win7 lines are the same. I may not be using the correct term for startup menu, but it is the one that appears when dual booting. Anyway, I would like to find the file so I can change the two identical lines to different lines. That is, instead of both saying "windows 7" I can change them to "win7 x86" and win7 x64" or something like that. Anybody know where that file is?

Vista Boot Pro or EasyBCD. Two non-TSR apps that are easy to use. EasyBCD caused me to temporarily lose XP as a bootable OS, but I was able to recover.

Yep, or if you know what you're doing, use bcdedit.

A reasonable conclusion, based solely on the evidence at hand, is... If he was proficient with BCDedit, this particular question would not have been posted, or phrased in the manner it was.

Well, he might not be aware of the option, however I think that your conclusion is quite logical.
