I have a question can I dual boot windows 7 ?

Currently I have windows 7 build 7229 32 bit on one partition and would like to try windows 7 64 bit on another partition......... can it be done ?

Yes it can, and it is very easy with 2 versions of Vista/Windows 7. Just install the 2nd installation as you were the first but choose the other partition. After it is installed, the new partition will boot by default but can be changed by running msconfig>Boot tab, then selecting the new default Boot OS.
