I have a new ASUS Desktop with Windows 7. I have created a second partition and installed Windows 7 on it. I now have 2 partitions with Windows 7 but the Boot manager does not come up at start up to select which partition I want to boot from. What do I do to enable Boot Manager?

Thanks

Just this side of fast enough.
You could also boot to the Install DVD, go to repair and to the command prompt. Type in the following and wait for a response.

bootrec /rebuildbcd

It will search for any Windows Vista or Win 7 installs not currently on the boot menu. Then it will ask if you want to add the ones it finds. If you allow, it will put the other install in the boot menu. You should then be able to reboot and have both options available.

The EasyBCD method suggested by Casca also works well, but I would suggest you register in their forum and download the version 2.0 beta. It works better with Win 7...

If you have any problems Adding missing Win7 with EasyBCD 2.0, please post back a screenshot of your full Disk management drive map - using Snipping Tool in Start Menu, atttaching file using paper clip in Reply Box.
