Hi, New to this but here goes, is it possible on a laptop with which windows 7 proff. is installed, to dual boot from an exterior hard drive, which has windows 10 prof. installed,(this was installed whlist it was in this laptop) from an esata port on this laptop, the option seems to appear when I start the computer but it doesn`t seem to work when I click on the alternative boot option. I can use this second hard drive, which has windows 10 installed in it, ok when it is installed as the only one in the laptop, conversely I can then substitute this for the alternative hard drive with windows 7 and use this ok, the reason being that I have installed different programs on both hard drives which I am unable to transfer from one to the other.I know that you are unable to do this via a usb connected hard drive or so I am led to believe. Unfortunately I have had no success with doing a back-up, every time I have tried I have lost everything, so i have a problem, Any ideas as to how to manage this? Thanks Dave
