Dual booting issue after installing Window XP

I'm trying to install Windows XP on top of a computer that has Windows 7. I was able to partition the drive and install the OS but now I face an issue of not being able to access the internet to be able to install the .net framework I need to run EasyBSD. How can I gain access to the internet from the XP side? I've looked for the drivers for the HP p6331p but I cant find just the nic drivers. Ive tried to look for the folder where Windows 7 is and I dont see anything. How can I get the prompt for the dual boot to get back into Windows 7 and be able to correct XP?

my apologies but I dont think you read what I posted. I already followed that tutorial and that is the tutorial that I went by. My issue is, after I reboot when XP is done installing I have NO WAY TO OBTAIN ACCESS TO THE INTERNET. I cant seem to find a setting or where I am going wrong to be able to finish after step 9. Which is install .net and easybcd.

You did say Win 7 won't boot now, right ?
I thought you could use this from the tutorial to boot Win 7, then get your XP NIC driver...

My family member says they dont know what they did with the recover disc for their desktop.. will another win 7 recovery disc work?

You need the Same Version such as Home Premium 32 Bit ...
You can download the latest official installer

If you do not have a Windows 7 with SP1 installation DVD/USB, then you can download the latest official Windows 7 with SP1 ISO file here: Microsoft: Windows 7 Direct Download Links, and use Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool to create a bootable DVD or USB flash drive with the ISO to do the clean install with.

If you have access to another PC, can't you download the XP NIC driver and copy it to a flash drive ?

Well the desktop came with 7 installed and when I checked xp drivers they only offer a download style app and not individual drivers

I don't see XP listed for the HP p6331p, it only shows Vista and Win 7 here:

If that pc never came with XP installed, chances are there are no network drivers for it.

But you can always download and try an Intel driver or a Realtek driver, you can find them at download.com

Why are you even bothering to install XP on it ?

because a family member asked me to do it so they can run a few programs they had.

Download the licensed version of Win7 from http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 and burn to DVD or stick using tool provided.

Mark Win 7 System Reserved (preferred if you have it) or Win 7 partition Active in Disk Mgmt.

Boot disk to run Startup Repair 3 separate times or until Win7 boots.

Install EasyBCD to add XP.

In XP Try the Win7 32 bit network driver in Compatibility Mode. If it won't install or work google for the device's XP driver. If you need the make/model of Device then google the Driver Details Hardware ID in Device Manager driver tab

There are tutorials for each of these if needed but I am on my phone so cAnt drag them in.
