So, I have tried out the Windows 8.1 Test Release.

I have a 1TB Hard Drive, which I made a 20GB partition for the Windows 8.1.

Installed, and it boots up to Windows 8.1-only. It doesn't give me an option to select to boot over to my Windows 7 Partition.

Now, I know that the Windows 7 data is still there, as Windows 8.1 under "This PC" says the Hard drive is listed as 20GB.

I do not think the Windows 7 data is missing or corrupted, its just not allowing me to boot over to that partition.

So, I need to know how to fix my system so I can boot to both Operating Systems. Hence the term Dual Boot

I forgot to mention that I have Encrypted the entire Hard Drive. What I think is happening is that the System cannot detect my Windows 7 partition due to it being encrypted. I used the software Truecrypt

The system does not even allow me to enter the TrueCrypt password. it just boots right it into the Windows 8.1 Partition.

well for those who are just reading, I decided to go with a wipe of the hard drive, and a clean reinstall of Windows 7.

I did find that I have to select within Truecrypt the option for Dual booting. I will be sure to select this after install. I will then try to partition and install Windows 8.1 again.
