dual card trouble... 8800gt & 5200fx

both the 9600 GSO and 7300 SE / 7200 GS are already included by NVidia in the same driver package

Then, it's simply a problem of Windows 7 ?

I think I'll give it a try on Vista too, just for my curiosity.

Anyway, I'm getting a new job starting next week and probably in a few weeks I'll have the cash to buy an extra video-card, with a 9 series GPU. :)

It most likely will. As we can see, Win 7 hates to death (blue screen of death :D ) having 2 video cards of different GPU series.

But my personal opinion is that the financial effort to buy an extra card idn't that great. If you need the third display for coding and generally office/desktop applications, like me, you go for the cheapest card you can find, and even SH.

Of course, things get a little more complex once you want to do this for gaming.... :(

it wasn't for gaming, it was for web and graphic design. yeah i'm not sure what i'm going to do. 8600 or something over @ staples down the street for 80 bucks, but things are tight right now and i think i'd rather wait for some type of fix to come along than pay out!
