I want to view my laptop display on a separate larger monitor. I connected my second monitor to the lap top, but the display when viewed in the larger screen is stretched and blurred, not as sharp as when viewing the same thing in the lap top screen. The resolution is set to the maximum possible option 1366 * 768. What can I do to make the display in the added monitor sharper?

Thanks!

Hello Tkanakar, welcome to the Seven Forums.

If you use two displays in duplicated mode the maximum resolution on both displays is the smaller of your two displays. For instance, if your laptop is capable to show 1360*768 and your secondary display 1920*1080, both displays can only use 1360*768.

In extended desktop mode you can set resolution independently on both displays, in this example case you could have 1360*768 on laptop display and 1920*1080 on secondary display.

Thanks Kari! I changed it to extended display and adjusted the resolution to the maximum available 1440*900. It is much better now. It is still not as sharp as my laptop though. My laptop is 15 inch and the second screen is 20.1 inch. Is there anything I can do to make it better? By adjusting manually (buttons behind the monitor) it is currently at maximum sharpness...
