Dual Monitor Help

I just bought a new computer and I'm trying to run the duals like I did on XP. I installed the video card into the PCI slot, and it will work on that monitor, but won't detect the main monitor. When I remove the PCI video card, the computer functions on the main monitor normally. Since I am new to 7, I'm not sure what I need to be doing to get this to work. I will say that my PCI video card is an old one, but I don't see why that should matter since it works anyway. Please help!

Thanks for the help.

Hi omarweewax,

Before we can help you we're going to need your specs. Please fill them out as completely as possible - click "User CP" at the top of this page and then "Edit System Spec" on the left-hand side. Thanks!

Sounds like you want to use an "onboard" video card along with an add-in video card, I have had limited success in getting setups like that to work correctly. You'd be best served by purchasing a cheap video card that can support dual monitors. Please respond with your system specs and we will help steer you in the right direction.

By the way, the ZT makes a loud computer. Any suggestions on how to decrease the sound?

Yes that is what I am trying to do. I didn't realize that an onboard with an add-on would be the hold-up.
