dual screen toggle button question

hi i'm asking this question here as i've browsed the forum and dont know which thread to post my dual screen question. i have a dual screen setup of my normal pc monitor and my tv which i only use when watching media files.

my question, is their a registry shortcut or something (one-click) that i can put on the desktop to toggle my 2nd screen (tv) being active instead of having to right-click.. check.. apply wait and then apply all the time?

yes, either a one button toggle or if that is not possible then two separate buttons. one to turn on and then one to turn off

Have you looked into a KV KVM switch? Basically you step on it and it swaps your display. Or if you leave one end connected to nothing, turns it off.

*NOTE: it's a KVM switch, not KV*

If anyone knows of software, however, that's probably cheaper, but I love my KVM switch.

I have used desktop shortcuts to switch from dual to single monitors, and back to dual again.

DisplaySwitch.exe /internal switches me to just my main monitor.
C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /internal

DisplaySwitch.exe /extend switches me to dual displays.
C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe /extend
