My HP Envy 14-2160se (not that great don't talk smack) has dual hard drives. 80GB SSD and a 750GB HD @ 7200 rpm. Not bad. But would it be a problem if I replaced the secondary HDD with another SSD or even a Hybrid? Just curious. Any insight anyone?

I'm not rich. I'm lucky to have this computer. So I don't really care if video game nerds diss my graphics card or yall think my computer sucks. I'm lucky to have what I got.

I can't imagine why it would be a "problem".

Maybe pointless, a waste of money, or rarely noticeable, but not a "problem".

I assume you would be going to a smaller drive. That's OK if you don't need the space.

Is this second drive just for storage?

You could certainly do 2 SSD's. The primary benefit for an SSD is running the OS and launching apps. Because of cost, they are not ideal for data storage.

Consider something like MP3's if you will. You don't need those to load in an instant, because if you are listening to a song, you typically have 3-4 minutes to get it loaded. The fact that it can load in 0.2ms on an SSD, or 0.6ms on a mechanical drive isn't going to be a factor.
