so yhea, another bsod, pc has been running fine, im afraid this one is my fault ( tried to install some custom theme, yada yada patcher, yada ydad didn't work, could not boot, then i could but started having this new bsod, un patched the files and erased the custom theme, random boot problems and still bsods) before that i could not change the desktop picture on my defaul user, if i made a new one then i could, but i really want to kep my main user ( the one is crashing now) because it has all the tweaks and configs ( quick launch, folder options, cs5 setting, color management, etc, etc, like i want) sending my file

Have you tried doing a system restore to a point before you starting having problems.. Run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt...

You might want to reconsider using system restore... ;)

Do a repair install .... This will show you how to do a repair upgrade install to fix your currently installed Windows 7 and preserve your user accounts, data, programs, and system drivers.

i did, it found no problems. i think this mess is related to the customization options, ej if i change the font size or color of the desktop... so what caused the last bsod? ( hints in the file that i submitted?^)

Asus often has problems w ith Audio devices and your driver is 3+ years old. It may not be the cause but it may.

Code:
ADIHdAud.sys e56c61c6`049fd000 0xe56c69460006a000 4/3/2007 16:30:45 0x4612c785 fffff880`04993000

Also if you are overclocking STOP. set everything back to default.

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

so i have "Hardware Data Execution Prevention" enabled on my bios and os... beside the overhead caused by this feature, could this be the cause of the randoms blue screen@ booting problems? ( caused by some flaky device drive) this pc is a standalone machine with no internet connection so im thinking of using EasyBCD to completely disable dep, ( also in bios) and see how things go, is there a reason why i shouldn't? buffer overflow ? from where? im offline @ do not install anything
