Duplicate TV shows?

After working fine for a couple of months, every recorded TV show now shows up twice in my "Recorded TV" list. Deleting one show deletes both entries. There's only one actual file in the Recorded TV folder.

Anyone seen this before?

Same issue

I have the same issue with mine and have yet to find the solution. Record one show and you get two listings for that show in your recorded tv list. Seems odd since there is only one copy on the hard drive. I'm recording to an external drive and am not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I doubt it since even when I change the record folder back to the original it does the same thing. Anyone have any insight to this issue????

Thanks,

I installed build 7077 a couple of weeks ago, and haven't had a problem since. My configuration doesn't have any externals disks by the way.

I was actually running 7077 prior to my post, I guess I'll have to wait for the RC and see if that fixes it for me.

Any Progress?

First off, sorry for the necro, but I felt that would be better than creating a new thread.

I would just like to know if anyone has figured this out yet, as I'm having the problem described here on the RTM version of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Thanks.

How would the RAID setup be displaying multiple entries for the recorded shows?

Just seems logical since you have a mirrored location and are seeing two identical entries in WMC...no?

Mirrored disks show up as a single volume in Windows. The mirroring is done at a level below the file system.

My thoughts exactly, empty. Has this been giving you any issues since the RTM version of win7 came out?

Nope. I reinstalled from scratch with the retail version (on the same machine) and haven't had the problem since.

Odd. I would really like to find what is causing this, as it's really annoying to have twice the amount of stuff to scroll through when deciding what to watch.

Is one digital, the other analog? I have two channels (ie 4 and 4.1, 5 and 5.1) and one is analog, the other digital. Will MC consider each a different program?

I only have one TV tuner and it only recognizes the analog channels. Plus the times on them are the same and there is only one entry in the Recording History.

I also have exactly the same problem. The verbage in the duplicate listings is slightly different --- one program description indiacting the channel, the other not. Both entires disappear when one of the entries is deleted.
