I'm attempting to burn data to DVD for permanent backup and storage, but there seems to be an issue. Every once in a while, the burning "hangs" at a seemingly random file, and stays at "35 (or however many) minutes remaining" forever. If I click cancel, it hangs of "Canceling" and stays "Canceling" forever. Either way, if I try to eject the disc, I get the message "An error occurred while ejecting DVD RW Drive (D
"
If I reboot the computer (using the power button, since using Restart or Shut Down leaves the computer hanging at "Logging Off" forever), I can eject just fine (though the disc is ruined), and I can just put in another blank disc and burn all the files I was attempting to burn just fine. But I'm going through a lot of blank discs this way, and I'm wondering if there's a known issue here or if I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks for any assistance.
