Solved DVD disk drive wont read disk

i got a new disk drive IHAS1234-14 E and it starts to spin up then stops and wont do anything. Its visable and every time i click on it it asks me to insert a disk even do theres one in it

how many dvd/cd did you try? did you check if dvd/cd are working on other laptop/desktop?

i have tried 5 disks and the all working because i used them in my laptop

is it internal or external drive? USB 2.0 , 3.0 or IDE or SATA ?

tried that already it still wont work and just tells me that it has a problem. Its a sata internal disk drive

did you try to burn a cd?

yea it wont pick up the disk at all it just spins for a second and then stops. Might it be the laser

You should try cleaning the Drive's lens with a tissue and alcohol. If that doesn't work then it might be defective now.

i removed the upper filters

when i remove the upper filter my pc gets stuck in a loop of starting up until i restore my pc
