Hi,

I used my dvd drive* to install Windows 7 x64, but since the install completed, I cannot use the drive - as it won't read any discs, including the Windows 7 dvd.

I have updated the firmware, and I have tried removing 'upperfilters' and 'lowerfilters' but they were not found in the registry.

Any ideas?

Welcome to SF!

First, try uninstalling the drivers in Device Manager, and rebooting.

Also try the drive in another machine, just to rule out the coincidence of a failing drive.
