DVD drive rarely works

My DVD drive has slowy gotten worse over time in terms of actually loading what I put in. Usually all I get is a lot of loading noises. When I go to "computer" and see the dvd drive listed, it just says DVD RW Drive, If i try to right click on it to see options , it just freezes. Once and a while a disc will load, and recently one loaded after about 15 minutes. It's an all in one computer so the dvd drive is located on the side, if that helps.

Run a lense cleaner CD a few times to clean the lense.

If it does not help, I am afraid your only option will be to replace the optical drive.

( If possible connect a known good USB external Optical drive and check. If it works then it is almost certain you need to replace the internal drive. Take professional help if it is not a DIY job on your all-in-one.)

aww man that sounds bad but I'll try the lense cleaner first and see what happens. Thank you
