After i did install Windows 7 (retail) my dvd drive have stop working, i cant install any games/programs anymore. It did work just fine when i did use Vista.

I have been looking in regedit for upperfilter and lowerfilter that some troubleshooting suggest, but i dont have a upper and lowerfilter to delete.

Is there anyone here who can help me or do i have to go back to vista?

Hi and welcome.
Can you please let us know what is the model DVD, brand, Sata or IDE
also have you checked your device manager to see if the drive is prorperly installed or not?
If you need help on how to do that...
Control Panel
System
Device Manager
Look for anything that has an Exclamation point next to it.

Fixed the problem by running a registry cleaner.
