DVD maker for slideshows to show on my TV

Hi.I'm using windows 7 home premium. Looking for an alternative for the windows DVD maker,Its okay but looking for something with a little more choice not to be restricted to the windows one. What I want is one that will burn home movies and also make a slide show that can be played back on a normal DVD player to watch on the TV. Free one if possible,But will spend a small amount,Been looking through google and the one pops up is 'DVD Styler',Has any one got any thoughts on that or some other one Please.

That's the problem right there, the free one like the MS version are limited with just the basic elements. If you're looking for more choices with that kind of software you will end up having to buy it. And there is a lot of them out there to choose from.

I suggest you write down what you want that software to be able to do and then search and compare the different vendors choices and see what fits to your liking.

I've used HP's version (paid) and pinnacles version studio 11 (paid), both worked really well, but since moving to 7, I'm forced to re buy both as they're not compatible with 7. Good luck.

I would recommend Corel Video Studio. Version5 is that latest version but version 4 would do you well. There's one on Amazon for £23 Real value there I think! Really good user Forum too with a lot of Video Experts all ready to help if you need it!

The best slide show software out there is ProShow, the Gold version isn't too expensive and you get a lot for the money. One of the outputs from it is a DVD, regular or Blu-ray.
