Is it my imagination or can you NOT play a DVD in Window Media Center?

I seem to recall using Media Center to play DVDs in previous versions of Windows. My memory isn't that good sometimes since I tend to ignore stuff that doesn't seem important at the moment since it works.

I've looked at Default Programs and have tried to right click and Open/Play With, but the only option is Windows Media Player.

Also, any thoughts on why Windows Media Player resizes my window down from full screen every once in awhile during playback?

I checked out the thread and the links do indeed answer my initial question and offer me a solution should I choose to use it.

After reading through the linked thread I guess a better question would be:

Is there any advantage to playing DVDs in WMC over playing them in WMP?

With the follow up questions:

What are the intended uses of WMC and WMP?

and

Does Microsoft intend to merge the two applications?

I'd be happy to put these into a new thread if necessary.
