Solved Dvdvideosoft and Freemake

[PSCO2007]

I've used these programs and never had a problem

Today, upon launching either one, a crash occurs.

Since it is occurring on both programs, I tend to think the problem is in my computer but don't know what it could be.

Any ideas?

BTW - I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs - same result.

DVDvideosoft is now full of PUP's and I will no longer use it and even if you untick all the options for extra crap it still installs the crap. Not so sure about Freemake but depends where you downloaded it from it might do the same and you should run a full scan with your AV as well as download MBAM (https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/) and runa full scan. Just remember to untick the trial option when installing it

Apologies I didn't mean to doubt your ability. Is it possible that due to the the PUPs your AV is flagging them and not letting you run them

Nope- I've been using these programs for years with no problems.

Did an image restore and all are now working.

Guess an update might have caused the problem.

They ARE working.
