Hello, ive been scratching my head on this for a while.

Last week while playing a game, my Display just all of the sudden died. now given the fact that my 19" samsung monitor has some issues before and that its also 10 years old. i thought it must be the monitor, because i used to be able to just fixed it with a simple fiddle on the DVI port from the monitor.

However this time it didnt come back no matter what i do. so anyways, naturally i was thinking it was the cable, the monitor or the GPU. the GPU was the last thing i was thinking, so i bought a new cable, didn't work, i also bought a new 23" Samsung monitor, and still didnt work,

Now i bypassed the GPU, used VGA directly to my motherboard and both display works fine.

I have a GTX260 it only has 2 DVI ports, non of them wokrs with either monitor.

with my 23" monitor however there is some display, but its like random colors flashing and its just weird and it givs me a head ache. |

so with all that being written is it just possible for a GPU to just "die"?

It is possible for a GPU to just die. IT's a possibility, too that your DVI circuitry is no longer working. Try to borrow a graphics card from someone and see if it continues to be a problem.
