Dwm.exe 0xc0000185 black screen

Hi. Hoping someone can help.

Have turned our computer on after being away for a few days and got the above error. Told me to click ok - so I did. Now all I get is a black screen.

Doesn't matter if I am in normal or safe mode I still get the same and can not progress anywhere.

If I push ctrl, alt, del e screen appears and I can get to all the options there - including task manager....

Any ideas. Sorry can't provide any other computer specs since I can't get onto the computer to see anything

Perform a Clean boot and do SFC /SCANNOW

Thanks Archer. I can't do the clean boot - the system will not open to let me. I can put in our password but once I hit enter it thinks for a bit then goes black - I don't get to the "Start" screen to open it. Is is the same in Safe Mode (with and without networking)

I have just opened it with command prompt - should I do the SFC/SCANNOW?

Any thoughts Archer? Is it possible to run the repair module on the Windows disc from Command Prompt?
