Dynex Wireless G USB Network Adapter (DX-BUSB)

I just did a clean install of 7 RC 64 bit, no problem. I was running 32bit Vista (Home Premium & Ultimate), and 7 Build 6801 32 bit, and was using a Dynex Wireless G USB Network Adapter (DX-BUSB) with no problems. When I inserted the software disc that came with the adapter it said it was not supported with 64 bit Windows XP or Vista.

I was able to install the driver off the disk in Device Manager. Plugged in adapter, restarted, and the network I connect to shows up, and says Limited Access but in Network and Sharing Center it says I'm not connected, when I click the red X between my computer and the Internet It says there is a problem with the driver. Not sure what else to do.

I don't understand why It shows available networks and says limited access, but says I have a problem with driver. I also downloaded and installed the driver from their website, and it runs through the installation, but when asked to plug in adapter, it doesn't do anything.

Thank You in advance !

Buy a new adapter as it's evident your existing one has no 64-bit driver available.

Sadly pip22 maybe right in your case. After checking Dynex's website, it looks like that adapter is strictly for windows 2000, XP and Vista 32 bit systems and it looks as if they are not going to update that drive either. This is the problem one incurs with low end parts, there tends to be no support for them. As Pip22 stated, get another one this time go branded like, linksys, Belkin, Netgear. You may pay a little more but you'll find the support it there, especially with driver updates. Good luck.
