E: Drive Missing

Hi All
I have a strange problem with Win 7 64bit, when i plug in a usb device it appears in computer management as e drive but cannot be seen in my computer or explorer, if i change drive letter to anything else it can be seen. If its a usb pen drive i cannot change drive letter i get the parameter is incorrect message so what i have to do is plug in another device and leave it as e then the pen drive so it sets at a different drive letter then i see it as f: on my comp. i have tried deleting mounted devices in registry to no avail. ANY IDEAS?

Hello MICKJN. Welcome to the forum.

It would be helpful if we could see a screen shot of your Disk Management window - expanded so we can read everything. Two screenshots actually. One with "The USB Device " connected, one without.
And possibly a screen shot of the Computer window in Windows Explorer.

Thanks for reply I have cured prob by mapping a network drive twice once to e: and once to f: I can see the f: in explorer etc but not the f: which is ok. I can access e: from command line so it is mapped but does not show. At least now if I plug in a pen drive it maps and can be seen ok. Wonder why I still get parameter is incorrect if I try to change pen drive drive letter? Ok with external hdds just pen drives.
