Either a config problem or a dns problem. does other email client work?

what is the server that simply sends mail to? does your isp allow the protical you using to be used? tell us more about the setup

Before i had w7 i had Vista and used Windows Mail. All i did for that to work was set w mail as default mail and away it went. When i sent the email from Simply Accounting a window would pop up asking if another program (simply) could send mail, i would click yes and it would send it. I guess the server is Incredimail i think Thanks

Windows mail (im sure you already know) is being replaced with windows live mail. As a former outlook user its not that bad. Does simply mail ask if it can send mail in win 7? What firewall are you using?

Nod32 (not ESS) is AV only. Try turning off windows firewall to see if it changes

You know I am not familiar with simply mail, so Im just looking at the most obvious things. Did simply mail work then break, or has it not been working in win 7?

Simply is an Accounting program and it worked great with Windows Mail but since i installed w7 it hasnt worked. I read a lot on it and it said that you need a mail program with MAPI configured for it to work. All the programs that i have tried are MAPI compatible so it must be something in the o/s, but what? I am running w7 Ultimate oem final release that is activated.

The only way I can think of to see if it is simply's config or win 7's problem is to use another MAPI compliant email client. WLM is. I wonder, since outlook, and win mail are being phased out, if Simply is going to port it to WLM?\

Good Luck and let me know if it worked
