Is there an easy way to automatically select all the text between quotes, when it's more than two words? I know if it's only two words (ie "two words") you can double click between those words, and the entire contents between the quotes will be selected, but, if there are three or more words, that doesn't work. Is there a three or more words equivalent?

Thanks!

Your lazy friend,

Zoloft

Hi, @Zoloft:

I think we might need a wee bit more info:

Are you referring to a browser (if so, which one), an email client (if so, which one), or a productivity app (such as MS Office; if so, which one), or to something else?

Cheers,
MM

D'OH! Yes, I should have been far more specific, sorry! Within a browser, in this case firefox (as, I just discovered, this functionality works differently in different browsers). I may be far better off asking in the FF forums, as my question seems specific to them!

Hi:

Nope, sorry, I'm not sure (have never tried that trick).

Unless someone here knows, you might want to post at forums.mozillazine.org
They are arguably the most active and most expert user-to-user forum.

Please keep us posted, so that we can all learn.

Thanks,
MM

Not quite as simple as a double click, but certainly much better than dragging to select everything, especially if in a long sentence. cursor where you want the beginning of the select to start (ie, just after the opening quote mark) hold shift key, click where you want the select to end. So, basically, same function as in explorer, hold the shift key, click where you want it to begin, and where you want it to end! Neat!
