i use windows 7 to manage and run my custom backup once a week. every sunday evening, my backup runs and backups to a separate physical harddisk.

my concern/question -- if my backup is scheduled for 7pm every sunday night, however my computer is not turned on, will the backup run the next time the computer is powered on, or run the following sunday evening at 7pm, assuming the computer is turned on?

in the latter case, therefore, a backup would only run if the computer is turned on during the configured schedule... and if never running at Sunday at 7pm, therefore never backing up...?

Hello dmt16 and welcome to Seven Forums.

It's my understanding that if your computer is completely powered down (not in sleep or hibernate mode) then the scheduled backup will not occur. It should begin the missed backup the next time the computer is turned on. More info here:
