Solved Easy CD Creator 5 errors, removed now CDROM errors

I was trying to troubleshoot two errors in Event Viewer and know they were caused by Easy CD Creator 5 so I uninstalled it and then my DVD players would not work. cdralw2k.sys and cdr4_2k.sys were the cause of the errors and were incompatible with Windows 7. Did a system restore to get the DVDs working again, but I know all this did is put the two files back in play. I know how to uninstall Easy CD Creator 5 to get rid of the files causing the errors, but how do I get my DVDs working again? The hardware drivers do not start due to the driver cdrom.sys giving an error in Event Viewer.

PxHlpa64.sys. Most common cause of a cdrom.sys error, and very widely used by Roxio. In my best guess it is still present there, and it usually remains even after uninstalling Roxio products.

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and\or C:\Windows\syswow64\drivers. If PxHlpa64.sys is present there, delete it.

Let us know the results.

Thanks for the quick reply Arc, PxHlpa64.sys is not present before or after uninstalling Easy CD Creator 5 (32 bit). That may be a more recent file, looks to be 64 bit, so that is not the problem. Any other ideas?
