Easy (Dumb) question

Hi!
This is more of a double check for my peace of mind than a question.
Here is my situation:
Currently I have two separate hard drives. One has windows and all programs on it, and the other all of my data such as music/videos etc.
I will be buying a new SSD drive. The one hard drive with the current Windows and all the programs will get formatted and sold, and I will be keeping the other which will contain all of data.
My question is : If I install fresh windows 7 64-bit on the SSD, and then plug in my current hard drives with all the data on them, will windows recognize it normally and will I be able to continue to use it like I am now ?
There is only pure data on it, like pictures and songs, no installations of any software.
My apologies if the question is slightly dumb, I have no experience in doing this, therefore asking here

yes i see no reason for this to not work, you may have to install SSD drivers... im not sure about that (have no experience with SSD's) but it should all work fine

I hear that W7 should not have any trouble recognizing the SSD. I was more worry about the Data Drive because I am aware that when doing fresh windows install, one should format the drive, however I was not aware how the unformatted drive with the data act when I plug it in.
Also, do You guys think I should reformat the SSD when I get it before I do the Windows install on it ?

A couple of suggestions.

1. Unplug the HDD when you install Win7 on the SSD. Reason: if your HDD is on mobo port0. your MBR may end up on the HDD.
2 Once Win7 is installed, you have 2 options regarding your data on the HDD.
a) You can right click on the highest level folder of each subject (Pictures, Documents, Music, etc.) and "include in library". That will create a new library entry for that folder (structure). This is the easiest way.
b) You can treat the HDD as a data partition and move your folders to there. Instructions are in this tutorial. This is a little more involved but has the advantage that you do not have multiple Pictures, Documents, etc. folders and if e.g. you click on the folder buttons in the right pane of the start menu, you are directed to those folders. Once you have those folders on the HDD, you can move your data into them from their current location on the HDD.
Caution: Before you move a folder, make sure you defined a receiving folder on the HDD. DO NOT move to the HDD partition. You would get the partition as folder address and that is a minor mess.
