Easy Transfer and Registry

Does Windows Easy Transfer copy the Registry to the 'new' computer b copying all
or portions pf the 'old' the old computer Registry?

I am installing a new computer in part because of registry issues on the 'old' one
and I don't want to copy my problems to the 'new' computer.

I'd not use Easy Transfer because of problems we've seen with it losing data, and transferring User AppData settings is also a corruption path into a new install.

There are better ways to back up and transfer data covering everything that must be remembered here in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 and are the same for retail.
